Ben Davison capped off an outstanding campaign by being named Male Athlete of the Year by USRowing. The award was determined by athletes and coaches of the senior national team that competed at the 2022 World Rowing Championships in Racice, Czech Republic.

USRowing recently announced its roster for the upcoming World Championships in Prague, Czech Republic, and every single member of the CRC team has been named to the 2022 United States National Team. Of the 23 members of the men’s heavyweight rowing team, an astounding 15 represent the CRC.

The California Rowing Club (CRC) continued to compile impressive results on the international stage, with the latest strong showing from the group coming at the Henley Royal Regatta in London—one of the oldest and most prestigious competitions in the world.

During a decorated four-year career at the University of Washington and an equally prolific stint on the junior U.S. Rowing circuit, Ben Davison frequently competed in single sculls competitions—often with impressive results.

The 2024 Olympics might still be two years away, but California Rowing Club members Michael Grady and Justin Best already have their eyes firmly set on Paris.

Ben Davison’s first place finish and World Cup-qualifying effort at the 2022 National Selection Regatta in Sarasota, Florida highlighted a banner weekend for California Rowing Club athletes, who captured four of the top eight spots in the singles sculls competition.
